I have a lot of paper cut blocks that I stitched up years ago laying around and I decided to turn them into real quilts. I hung a curtain rod on my wall to display the first one. It's a frog pattern. Now I'm finishing several more and making all the quilts the same size so I can change them out if I get tired of looking at this one. Here's a close-up image showing more detail:
I found this poor lamp at a garage sale years ago. I had grand intentions of fixing it, but it ended up tucked away in a box for about a decade.
Many of you already know that I've been on an organizing kick here lately. While I was away in Chickasha, my family has gone off to Tulsa so I have the entire rest-of-the-weekend to myself. I plan to spend some quality time in my sewing room getting everything "just so". While I was at the Chickasha Show, I came up with some new ideas. The first one is this shelf, it hangs on the wall and it has grooves cut in it so that it holds all your rulers. The very nice ladies from Prairie Notions in Allen, Oklahoma had them for sale. Yes I bought one!
I've just returned from the Annual Quilt Show in Chickasha. This is a fun show that they have every year at the Grady County Fairgrounds. They have a craft show and a dog show going on at the same time and admission is free!
When I read the description for this week's Photo Quest and followed the link, I knew I had to try this. I really like these challenges, I just wish my schedule permitted me to participate more often.
